Two years of publications!

Happy anniversary, Quantum community!

It feels like yesterday, but it’s been two years since Quantum published the first batch of ten peer-reviewed articles. Since then, Quantum has received over 400 submissions, publishing over 130 papers on quantum science and technology. Our team continues to expand, and the journal is financially stable thanks to the generosity of authors and sponsors.

We would like to thank our incredible team of editors, referees, advisors and employees who make the dream of an independent, community-run journal a reality. Above all, we would like to thank you, the researchers who believe in Quantum’s mission and continue to submit your best results here. Thank you also to everyone who’s given us the precious, not always easy, feedback necessary to keep improving the journal.

There are important developments that come with the two-year mark, like the application to Web of Science and other entities, and the assignment of the dreadful impact factor. We will publish a series of updates in the coming weeks.

For now, let us raise a glass to Quantum, and to you.

Marcus, Christian and Lídia
