Paper Simulating magic state cultivation with few Clifford terms Kwok Ho Wan, Zhenghao Zhong, and Ainhoa Zapirain, Quantum 10, 2134 (2026). Building upon $\textit{Wan, Zhong (2025)}$ [5] we present a few methods on how to simulate the non-Clifford $d=5$ magic state cultivation circuits[4] with a sum of $\approx 8$ Clifford ZX-diagrams…
Paper Exploring Variational Entanglement Hamiltonians Yanick S. Kind and Benedikt Fauseweh, Quantum 10, 2133 (2026). Recent advances in analog and digital quantum-simulation platforms have enabled exploration of the spectrum of entanglement Hamiltonians via variational algorithms. In this work we analyze t…
Paper Lie algebraic invariants in quantum linear optics Pablo V. Parellada, Vicent Gimeno i Garcia, Julio José Moyano-Fernández, and Juan Carlos Garcia-Escartin, Quantum 10, 2132 (2026). Quantum linear optics without post-selection is not powerful enough to produce any quantum state from a given input state. This limits its utility since some applications require entangled r…
Paper Device-independent secure correlations in sequential quantum scenarios Matteo Padovan, Alessandro Rezzi, and Lorenzo Coccia, Quantum 10, 2131 (2026). Device-independent quantum information is attracting significant attention, particularly for its applications in information security. This interest arises because the security of device-ind…
Paper Characterizing resources for multiparameter estimation of SU(2) and SU(1,1) unitaries Shaowei Du, Shuheng Liu, Frank E. S. Steinhoff, and Giuseppe Vitagliano, Quantum 10, 2130 (2026). We analyze the task of estimating a multi-parameter unitary belonging to the $SU(2)$ or $SU(1,1)$ groups, in a two-bosonic-mode scenario and investigate the scaling of the precision in terms of…
Paper Long-time Freeness in the Kicked Top Elisa Vallini and Silvia Pappalardi, Quantum 10, 2129 (2026). Recent work highlighted the importance of higher-order correlations in quantum dynamics for a deeper understanding of quantum chaos and thermalization. The full Eigenstate Thermalization Hyp…
Paper Detecting Entanglement by State Preparation and Local Measurements Jaemin Kim, Anindita Bera, Dariusz Chruściński, and Joonwoo Bae, Quantum 10, 2128 (2026). Entanglement witnesses (EWs) are a collection of observables that can characterize separable states and, experimentally, estimating EWs can verify entangled states. In this work, we show tha…
Paper Classical shadows for sample-efficient measurements of gauge-invariant observables Jacob Bringewatt, Henry Froland, Andreas Elben, and Niklas Mueller, Quantum 10, 2127 (2026). Classical shadows provide a versatile framework for estimating many properties of quantum states from repeated, randomly chosen measurements without requiring full quantum state tomography.…
Paper What can we do in a symmetry-constrained perspective? The importance of the total charge’s status in quantum reference frame frameworks Guilhem Doat and Augustin Vanrietvelde, Quantum 10, 2126 (2026). The study of quantum reference frames has received renewed interest over the last years, leading to the parallel development of non-equivalent frameworks by different communities. We clarify…
Paper A local automaton for the 2D toric code Shankar Balasubramanian, Margarita Davydova, and Ethan Lake, Quantum 10, 2125 (2026). We construct a local decoder for the 2D toric code using ideas from the hierarchical classical cellular automata of Tsirelson and Gács. Our decoder is a circuit of strictly local quantum ope…
Paper A Practical Protocol for Quantum Oblivious Transfer from One-Way Functions Eleni Diamanti, Alex B. Grilo, Adriano Innocenzi, Pascal Lefebvre, Verena Yacoub, and Álvaro Yángüez, Quantum 10, 2124 (2026). We present a new simulation-secure quantum oblivious transfer (QOT) protocol based on one-way functions in the plain model. With a focus on practical implementation, our protocol surpasses p…
Paper Quantum Cellular Automata on Symmetric Subalgebras Ruochen Ma, Yabo Li, and Meng Cheng, Quantum 10, 2123 (2026). We investigate quantum cellular automata (QCA) on one-dimensional spin systems defined over a subalgebra of the full local operator algebra – the symmetric subalgebra under a finite Abelian…
Paper Squeezing Enhancement in Lossy Multi-Path Atom Interferometers Julian Günther, Jan-Niclas Kirsten-Siemß, Naceur Gaaloul, and Klemens Hammerer, Quantum 10, 2122 (2026). This paper explores the sensitivity gains afforded by spin-squeezed states in atom interferometry, in particular using Bragg diffraction. We introduce a generalised input-output formalism th…
Paper Bosonic content of three-fermion highest-spin states Jerzy Cioslowski, Krzysztof Strasburger, and Denis K. Sunko, Quantum 10, 2121 (2026). A rigorous characterization of the information content of any highest-spin three-fermion wave function is presented. It is based upon a formal decomposition of the wave function into a finit…
Paper Exact distinguishability between real-valued and complex-valued Haar random quantum states Tristan Nemoz, Romain Alléaume, and Peter Brown, Quantum 10, 2120 (2026). Haar random states are fundamental objects in quantum information theory and quantum computing. We study the density matrix resulting from sampling $t$ copies of a $d$-dimensional quantum state…
Paper On the dynamical Lie algebras of quantum approximate optimization algorithms Jonathan Allcock, Miklos Santha, Pei Yuan, and Shengyu Zhang, Quantum 10, 2119 (2026). Dynamical Lie algebras (DLAs) have emerged as a valuable tool in the study of parameterized quantum circuits, helping to characterize both their expressiveness and trainability. In particula…
